Dr. Lisa Davenport
Dr. Davenport, a Clinical Psychologist and 500-hour Yoga Teacher, is proud to have been born and raised in Miami, Florida. She has worked as a journalist in Atlanta and was a high school English/journalism teacher and high school guidance counselor at Miami Beach Senior High. She completed her doctoral internship at University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Medical Center and worked at the Chrysalis Center to provide intensive treatment to elementary and middle school aged children as well as to coordinate psychological services for adolescent males who resided in a foster care group home.
She was drawn to yoga 30 years ago and her journey led her to complete 200 and 300-hour yoga teacher training at 305 Yoga University. The philosophy and practice of yoga is at the heart of her approach to life, both personally and professionally. She weaves her skills together to provide trauma-informed individual, family and couples therapy and yoga instruction.
She relies on her extensive training and experiences to mindfully tailor her treatment approach to fit individual concerns. Her intention is to provide therapeutic expertise in a supported space to help those in her care to understand and find peace with who they are, develop the tools to manage the lives they live, and inspire them to explore the possibilities of the life to come.
